Help me recover from spinal tuberculosis

Hello beautiful people,

 

As some of you might know, I have been suffering from an extremely dangerous form of tuberculosis.

 

After months of debilitating back pain, I was diagnosed with spinal tuberculosis after being rushed to hospital with a collapsed lung.

 

Spinal tuberculosis is a horrible illness that not only affects the lungs, but also eats away the vertebrae and disks of the spine. I have recently been released from a government hospital in India after a month of treatment where I was confined to bed, unable to move, and needed a helper to care for me round the clock.

 

Doctors have estimated that it could be a year or more before I recover. Recovery involves ongoing drug treatment, physiotherapy, and wearing a back brace. I am unable to lift anything and am only recently able to walk a short distance. Consequently, I am unable to work and, being self-employed, it is very hard to stay on top of rent and basic daily expenses. I have been in India for a whole season but have been unable to earn anything. As well as rent and daily living expenses, I need on-going medical care, physiotherapy, and eventually a new plane ticket home for when I am well enough to return to the UK.

 

My work involves helping others through breathwork, cacao, and movement workshops and ironically it’s my own breath and movement that has been so affected.

I look forward to getting back to this work, and for this my health is paramount.

Easing my financial burden now, will help with the worry and stress and ultimately have a positive impact on my recovery allowing me to get back on my path.
