Help me through financial crisis after car crash

thank you for taking the time to delve into my story and for showing care and compassion.

My name is Gianna, a 21-year-old who has been living in Australia for the past 3.5 years. I find myself creating this GoFundMe campaign due to the immense financial struggle I am currently facing after a recent car crash. While I am incredibly grateful that no one was injured in the accident, the aftermath has left me confronted with fear and anxiety, primarily centered around the financial side of things.

The incident occurred on an 80km/h road section that was undergoing roadworks. Fortunately, we were all driving at a reduced speed of around 40km/h at the time of the collision. Out of nowhere, two dogs ran onto the road, causing the first car in line to come to an abrupt stop. Unfortunately, the car behind couldn't brake in time, leading to a chain reaction of collisions involving the third car and ultimately, my own vehicle as the fourth in line. Sadly, all the cars involved, except for the first one, were deemed write-offs on the spot and had to be towed away.

The root of my financial struggle stems from the fact that I was driving a friend's car during the accident. However, their comprehensive insurance policy only covers drivers over the age of 25, leaving me in a situation akin to driving an uninsured vehicle. As a result I am now legally responsible to pay for the write off of my friends car and the car in front of me.

As a young adult, still finding my way in the world, this unexpected and unfortunate incident has dealt a severe blow to my financial stability. The costs of replacing my friend’s car, most likely the car in front and additional legal support are exceeding my limited resources. 

It’s all still in a very uncertain stage. I haven’t been contacted by the insurance of the other car yet. Apparently this can take quite a while sometimes. The total I put here is just an estimate based on the market value of the car that I hit. I am aware there is different avenues I can take from here and am still processing it all.
