A recent storm flooded my basement, and it has been a really tough experience. I lost so many things that mattered to me—my book collection, Blu-ray collection, novels, and my Mac laptop. My cat’s toys and condo were also ruined, which has been hard for both of us. The basement itself needs repairs, and I’m trying to figure out how to move forward after so much loss.
