On Wednesday, June 4th, I was involved in a hit-and-run accident on my moped at the roundabout near Rustler's Roost (48th St & Pointe Pkwy).

I was in the inside lane when a driver on my right side hit me, causing me and the moped to crash into the ground. The driver briefly stopped, looked out the window, and saw I wasn't dead, then he sped off. Thankfully, a kind witness tried to follow them, but the driver ran every stop sign and got away through the resort.

I've filed a police report, but without a license plate number, they've said it's unlikely they'll be able to find the person responsible. I also tried to file an insurance claim, but they can't do anything without the other driver's insurance information. This means I'm facing significant costs for repairs to my moped, medical treatment, and transportation without any support. I even had to refuse an ambulance at the scene and go to urgent care to try and keep costs down.

This unexpected accident has left me in a difficult financial situation.
