Hi, my name is Sofia, and I’m an elite karate athlete with a dream of one day competing at the Olympic level. Karate isn’t just a sport to me, it’s something I’ve dedicated years of hard work, discipline, and passion to. Karate is my life!
Recently, during a kumite match, I suffered a knee injury that doctors believe could involve my ACL. This isn’t my first time dealing with knee problems, and over the years it’s slowly taken a toll on my ability to perform at my best. Despite pushing through pain and setbacks, I’ve always given 100% in every training and tournament—but this injury is something I can’t ignore.
To properly diagnose and treat my knee, I need an MRI and follow-up care. Unfortunately, the cost of medical imaging and treatment is more than my family and I can manage right now.
That’s why I’m asking for help.
Every donation (no matter how small) will go directly toward getting the MRI, treatment, and recovery support I need to heal fully and safely return to the sport I love. My goal is not just to recover, but to come back stronger and continue chasing my dream of becoming an Olympic athlete one day.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting my journey. This sport has shaped who I am, and with your help, I’ll be able to keep fighting for my future.
