Help Me Recover and Thrive After Life-Saving Surgery

My health took a turn for the worst last April 2025. I was airlifted via helicopter from Watsonville Hospital to Stanford Hospital. There I was in the back of the helicopter clinging on for my life. Little did I know this was the beginning of the almost end of my life. I was eventually/quickly diagnosed with Liver Disease.

From April-October 2025 I spent most of my days in & out of the ER, ICU & admitted multiple times at Stanford. My kidneys almost failed on me as I was almost put on dialysis but luckily they improved a few weeks later.

As time slowly went by my savings withered away as well. I had spent all my savings trying to keep up with bills & life in general. I was supposed to be put on a donor list to receive a liver transplant but I was too malnutrioned, weighing barley 100 pounds, and wasn't strong enough to go through with the surgery. October 31st I went through a big procedure called TIPS where they placed a stent on my liver in hopes to help the function of my liver. 7 hours later it was completed.

Since being discharged from Stanford I am in recovery in a wheelchair learning to walk again, working on gaining weight & strength so I can work toward getting a new liver. My disability ended a few months ago leaving me in a tough situation of paying bills, car registration, a new care battery, paying for some medical bills that my insurance didn't cover ect. My life partner of over 20 years has done an amazing job helping me rehabilitate, take care of me & being my full time nurse 24/7. All though it is a blessing I still need help paying rent, bills & the cost of living.

I never thought I would have to ask for help for basic living costs, yet again I never thought I would be diagnosed with Liver Disease at 35. So if you can please help me with my journey to recovery & hopefully to getting on the donor list for a new liver I would greatly appreciate it. I hope everyone has a healthy, happy & positive year in 2026 <3
