It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but after a recent health crisis, I find myself in a situation where I can’t do it alone. Two weeks ago, I was released from the hospital after a severe kidney infection that led to sepsis. The experience was traumatic and left me with lingering health issues. I needed a blood transfusion, was on oxygen for hours, and had to receive a long IV potassium treatment to prevent a heart attack. Even now, I’m still healing and facing the possibility of long-term effects.
Because of this, I lost a month of work and am now three months behind on rent, soon to be four. I’ve also lost additional days and hours at work as I try to recover. The stress of not knowing how I’ll keep a roof over my head or afford basic necessities has been overwhelming. The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward catching up on rent, buying groceries, and paying for medications that my insurance doesn’t cover. These essentials are critical for my recovery and stability as I work to get back on my feet.
I’m deeply grateful for anyone willing to help. I usually never ask for help, but keeping a roof over my head and staying healthy is so important. I want to express my utmost gratitude and thankfulness to anyone who cares enough to donate or share my story. Your support means more than words can say.
