For those of you who don’t know my story, I want to share what the past few years have looked like for me.

In November 2022, after noticing a mass on my right thigh, I was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma. It does not respond to chemotherapy, and because the tumor had already grown large, I had surgery in January 2023 to remove it.

Since then, I’ve been going from scan to scan. A few months later, doctors found lung nodules, confirming that the cancer had spread to my lungs. I began immunotherapy and continued working full time while trying to manage the cost of treatments and medical visits.

On February 21, everything shifted again. While driving home, my whole body went numb and I blacked out. Doctors initially thought it was a seizure, but an MRI revealed a brain tumor, indicating that the sarcoma may have spread again. On February 23rd, I had to undergo a craniotomy to remove to tumor. I am recovering well since then.

But because of that incident, my car was badly damaged. Now I’m trying to figure out how to fix it or replace it while I’m out of work recovering. I previously had insurance while receiving immunotherapy, but with the ongoing medical expenses and everyday bills, I’m no longer able to afford the monthly costs along with out-of-pocket visits.

It is very hard for me to ask for help in this manner, but my situation has changed. Any support, whether through a donation, a share, or a prayer, truly means more than I can say.

I am continuing to fight and taking this one day at a time.
