**Help Me Recover After a Devastating Injury and Homelessness**
My name is Sybil Mulesu, and I never imagined I would find myself in a position where I would need to ask for help like this. But life has taken an unexpected and heartbreaking turn, and today I am reaching out with humility and hope.
Over the past several months, I have been struggling with homelessness while actively searching for work and trying to rebuild my life. Despite the challenges, I stayed determined every single day to keep moving forward. I spent my time at the library applying for jobs, updating my resume, and doing everything I could to regain stability and independence.
But in a single moment, everything changed.
Recently, while leaving the library, I missed a step and suffered a devastating fall. The accident left me with a severely broken ankle along with multiple surrounding fractures. The injuries were so serious that I required emergency surgery, and I am now unable to walk.
I am currently hospitalized at St. Anne Hospital in Burien, Washington, and doctors have informed me that my recovery will take at least 12 weeks before I can begin walking again. Once discharged, I will be transferred to a rehabilitation facility and will need to rely on a wheelchair during recovery.
The most frightening part of this situation is that after rehabilitation, I have nowhere stable or safe to go. Recovering from a major injury while homeless has left me physically exhausted, emotionally overwhelmed, and financially devastated.
I am raising these funds for myself so I can have a safe chance to heal, recover, and rebuild my life with dignity. Every donation will go directly toward the critical support I need during this difficult period, including:
• Medical and rehabilitation expenses not fully covered
• Temporary housing and shelter during recovery
• Food, transportation, and daily living essentials
• Wheelchair accessibility and recovery support
• Basic financial assistance while I am unable to work
The funds raised through this campaign will be used directly for my care, recovery, temporary housing, and essential living expenses as I work toward regaining my independence and returning to work.
Right now, my focus is simple: healing physically, finding stability, and surviving this incredibly difficult chapter so I can eventually get back on my feet — literally and figuratively.
Asking for help is not easy for me, but I truly cannot get through this alone. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean more than words can express. And if you are unable to donate, sharing my story with others would also make an enormous difference.
Your kindness, compassion, and generosity could help give me something I desperately need right now: hope, safety, and a chance to recover.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give during this difficult time.
