My name is Elena, and I’m a personal trainer in Los Angeles. I work remotely, traveling to my clients and bringing my own equipment to each session.
During the recent Palisades Fire, in the chaos of the evacuation, I had to leave my car behind while helping a client evacuate her home with her 1-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, the fire destroyed my car along with all the training equipment I use for work.
While I’m incredibly grateful that my home was spared and that I’m safe, losing my car and equipment has deeply impacted my livelihood and ability to work. Unfortunately my insurance isn’t able to cover any of the losses, which has made the situation even more challenging.
I’ve created this GoFundMe to ask for your help during this difficult time. About $2,000 of the funds will go toward replacing my training equipment, such as dumbbells, kettlebells, a bench, TRX, ropes, medicine ball, resistance bands, lifting belt, lifting straps, massage gun, and more. The remainder will go toward purchasing a reliable vehicle, allowing me to get back to work and continue serving my clients.
I’m truly humbled and grateful for your kindness and generosity, and I hope to pay it forward in any way I can as our community rebuilds from this tragedy.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for your support.
With gratitude,
Elena
