Help Me Recover After an Uninsured Driver Accident

I never thought I'd be in a position where I’d need to ask for help, but here I am. Recently, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident that left my car badly damaged. But unfortunately, the other driver was at fault and does not have insurance.

After going through the claims process, I found out that my car repairs won’t be covered due to the other driver's lack of coverage and limitations on my own policy. I had surrendered to the idea that the car would likely be deemed a total loss and that I'd be paid out for its current value—around $5,000. I figured I could at least put that toward a down payment on another used car.

But because of the circumstances, I won’t even be receiving that. Now I’m left with a damaged vehicle, no financial help from insurance, and the burden of covering the cost of repairs—or somehow replacing the car entirely—on my own.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to raise funds to either repair my car or put towards a reliable replacement vehicle. I use my car every day for work, errands, and basic necessities, and this situation has been incredibly overwhelming.
