My name is Birgitte Attoh-Micah, and I am reaching out for help during a very difficult and unexpected time in my life.

Between Christmas and New Year, I had a fall that resulted in a concussion. At first, I hoped the symptoms would pass quickly, but they didn’t. I am now dealing with ongoing effects that require specialized rehabilitation in order for me to properly recover.

Unfortunately, the rehabilitation program I need through the public health system has a long waiting list, and the earliest I may receive a spot could be sometime next year. For many people that might be manageable, but for me it isn’t who is self-employed, I cannot afford to wait that long to recover and return to work.

I am self-employed, and my work depends on my ability to function fully every day. Without recovery, I cannot return to the work that not only supports my life financially but is also something I care deeply about.

My passion is developing soccer players for the European market, helping talented young athletes move closer to professional opportunities. Seeing players grow, develop confidence, and move toward their dreams is incredibly meaningful to me. Right now, being unable to work and do what I love has been very hard.

Because the public system cannot support me in time, I must pay for the rehabilitation training myself so I can recover properly and return to work.

This is why I am asking for help.
