Hi everyone, and thank you so much for being here!
I’m getting ready to record my first full-length classical album, featuring solo clarinet and clarinet with piano. This is music I genuinely love and feel close to, and it will be released on all major streaming platforms. This project marks a big personal milestone for me and something I’ve been excited to take on for a long time.
One thing that makes this album a little different is how involved I want to be in the recording process itself. Alongside performing, I’m taking a hands-on role in the recording and production side of the project. This ties directly into my broader interest in music production and feels like a natural way to keep expanding my bag of tools as a musician. Learning how to capture sound well, make thoughtful technical decisions, and work closely with engineers is another layer of artistry for me, and one I want to keep developing alongside my playing.
Recording and releasing a classical album at a professional level is expensive. A preliminary estimate for a project like this typically comes in around $6,000 or more, once you account for recording equipment, venue and piano costs, engineering help, and release expenses. By using my existing connections, collaborating with friends in the industry, and taking on a larger share of the production work myself, I’m able to bring that number down significantly. Because of that, my fundraising goal is $3,000.
Funds raised will help cover:
- Essential recording equipment
- Assistance and consultation from experienced engineers
- Venue costs
- Mixing, mastering, and release expenses
Beyond making this album possible, this project is also an investment in the future. The resources, knowledge, and skills gained here will allow me to create future recordings more efficiently, at a higher level, and at a much lower cost than the traditional model. Each project after this one will benefit directly from what I learn during this process.
If you’re able to donate, share, or follow along, I’m deeply grateful. Projects like this only happen because people choose to support them, and I truly appreciate you being part of this journey!
