Hi everyone, Naru here.
I've been wanting to make a GoFundMe for a little bit, but was way to anxious to do it. But I decided to push myself out to the open and wanting to be more open instead of keeping myself in the box.
Back in 2016–2017, my mom helped me build my very first ever gaming PC i've always dreamed of. She actually bought all the parts so I could finally put together something I’d always dreamed of. It had an Nvidia GTX 1060, and to me, it meant everything, like it may be the little things, but it was a massive thing to me. Especially when I was a kid. Not just because it was a computer, but because it was something we built together. I love her to death.
When I turned 22, my mom passed away from ischemic heart disease, which is essentially a condition where the heart doesnt get enough blood and oxygen because the arteries become narrowed or blocked.
Which can be something that build up slowly without warning, and when it happened... it took her from me far too soon. Around that same time, I was also in a car accident when another vehicle slipped on icy roads and hit me. Losing her and recovering from that accident was one of the hardest or better yet, miserable chapters of my life.
After recovering, I obviously was lost and see nothing to do without her. It was like, full silence and just me alone.
But when I got to my room to my setup, I looked at this pc and I see a reflection of me and my mother.
That old PC became more than just a machine... it became a reminder of her love, her support, and the time we shared.
Since the day it was built until now, I felt like this pc can finally rest since it has been aging a lot.
Since then, I’ve had to take on a lot of responsibility... helping my family with rent, taxes, and other bills. I never wanted to see my family live miserably, so I did everything I could to keep things together. But over time, I discovered some painful truths that led me to lose control over myself.
choices my siblings made and secrets they kept that really hurt me.
Out of respect, I wont share the details, but it made me realize how much I’ve given up for others while putting my own dreams on hold.
Now... here we are...
Now it’s 2025 and im 27, and the only upgrade I’ve made since 2020 is a GTX 1650 Ti, which isn’t much of a step up. My PC’s struggling to keep up, but what I’m really trying to rebuild isn’t just a computer... its a piece of myself and my mother. Especially more important, my mom.
Something that brings me peace, creativity... especially a connection to my mom's memory.
She was the only person I always wanted to protect after how much she have done to me.
Through thick and thin, Ups and Downs, she never gave up to change me to do what I was meant to do, which is living my life to the fullest.
The tragedy for that though, was living my life to the fullest without her.
I love her so much and she has always been in my head anywhere I go, anything I do, everything. No matter if I smile or laughed, no matter how much pain I am going through and crying, i've always thought about her and I still will.
I’m sharing this not to ask anyone to empty their pockets or feel pressured, but simply to open my heart and ask for a little help if you’re willing. My goal is to rebuild the dream my mom helped me start and keep her memory alive through something she believed in. If you choose to support, thank you from the bottom of my heart, and even if you can’t, just taking the time to read my story and understand what it means to me already means more than you know.
If you’ve read this far, thank you... truly!
Every bit of support means more than I can say. This isn’t just about upgrading a PC, it’s about holding on to the part of me that still believes in the dreams my mom helped me start and bring me the feelings how I used to be when I felt joy and peace with my mother.
Note: The funds will go directly to me through GoFundMe’s secure deposit system to help upgrade my PC and rebuild my setup
If we managed to reach the goal, I would be beyond happy. Even if im anxious, I would never forget this moment.
I will share photos of the new pc once we reach to the end.
