My name is Anthony Briscoe, and I’m the lead singer of the band Down North. I’m heartbroken writing this, but two days ago, my entire mobile studio setup was stolen while traveling from Pasco to Seattle, WA.

I was on a FlixBus headed home, and the driver insisted that I place my backpack under the bus, even though I begged to keep it with me. That backpack wasn’t just a bag—it held my livelihood: my MacBook Pro, UAD Apollo Twin Quad 4X interface, and a Shure SM7B microphone. It also had my coat wrapped around it. When I arrived in Seattle, my phone was dead. By the time I charged it and went to grab my bag, it was gone. Someone had removed my coat and deliberately snatched the backpack.

I immediately contacted FlixBus, but they claimed there was nothing they could do. I was able to track my MacBook using my iPhone and even rented a car to drive to the location. But when I got there, the people at the address insisted they didn’t have it. The police were contacted, but they said there was nothing they could do either.

All of my recording sessions, programs, plug-ins, and unreleased music—gone. We were in the middle of working on our next project, and this has been devastating. Over $6,000 worth of gear was taken, not to mention the priceless creative work and time lost.

I’ve been stalking Facebook Marketplace, filing reports, doing everything I can to recover my stuff—but so far, no luck.
