Hi, I'm Maria, I'm from Spain, and I'm battling two addictions that have taken almost everything from me: alcohol and gambling.

I've been to rehab four times since my early 20s, and although I've stumbled many times, I keep trying to get back up. Today marks 10 days without drinking and 3 months without gambling (officially banned from all type os casinos and online bets), and although it may not seem like much, for me it means a new beginning.

My life has changed a lot in recent years. I haven't been able to work for 19 months due to a serious knee injury, in addition to suffering from fibromyalgia and depression. These conditions have made my daily life very difficult, both physically and emotionally, and have also been fertile ground for my relapses.

After so many attempts, I've realized that it's not enough to just stop drinking or gambling; I need to rebuild myself from within, heal my mind and body, and learn to live without depending on what destroys me.

I need to raise €15,000 to access two months of intensive therapy at a specialized center and, in addition, to avoid two foreclosures that are about to affect my parents, who are over 80 years old and trusted me when i was at my worst and my only goal was to keep doing what was actually destroying me.

I've made mistakes, but I want to face them responsibly and give them the peace of mind they deserve after so many years of suffering.

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me a little closer to being able to move forward, stay sober, and rebuild my life until my knee gets better and hopefully will find another job so i´ll be able to give my parents back what i took from them.

I'm not looking for pity; I'm looking for a real opportunity to move forward with dignity.
