My Story – Why I Need Your Help
As many of you know, I’ve always struggled with my dental health. What started just after high school has turned into a lifelong battle. Over the years, I’ve spent between $20,000–$30,000 on treatments just to keep my teeth functioning as best I could. Unfortunately, despite all those efforts, things have reached a point where I can no longer manage on my own.
I now face advanced decay, missing teeth, and the inability to use prosthetics any longer. Because of this, I can’t eat solid foods anymore. Every day, I struggle to get enough nutrition to survive. I am also type 2 diabetic, and not being able to eat properly has made controlling my blood sugar nearly impossible. In the last year alone, I have lost 60 pounds simply because I can’t chew my food.
This is no longer just about appearance; it’s about survival. I want the chance to eat normally again, regain strength, and stabilize my health.
The Urgency
I only have two usable teeth left on my bottom jaw. They are in constant pain, and one has already begun breaking apart. My dentist has warned me that it’s only a matter of time—possibly days—before I lose the ability to chew at all. Once that happens, I’ll be left powerless to eat.
The Cost
The full oral reconstruction I need is $17,000. I am working on saving for the second half, since there is a 3–6 month wait between phases of the treatment. But I urgently need to raise $8,000 in the next few weeks to cover the first stage before I lose the ability to eat altogether.
Why I’m Asking for Help
It’s humbling to write this. I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but right now I simply can’t. I don’t want to live the rest of my life in pain, unable to eat, and watching my health deteriorate further. I’m asking friends and family to help however they can—whether that’s through donations, sharing this with others, or even just keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.
Every little bit truly makes a difference, and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for taking the time to read my story and consider helping me through this difficult time.
