Help me rebuild my childhood village after fire
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kano. I'm a student at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. I'm reaching out because my Akha tribe village in Tachileik, Myanmar, has been deeply affected by a recent tragedy.
At 3 am on April 2nd, 2024, a devastating fire tore through our community, destroying at least 17 homes. Luckily, the fire did not reach our home. Unfortunately, many families, friends, neighbours, children and the elderly were not as lucky. A total number of 100 people are now having to seek shelter from neighbouring homes that survived the fire. They have lost everything overnight.
Right now, my family, our community, and I are determined to help rebuild our neighbours’ homes before the monsoon season hits in just a few months. But we can't do it alone. We need your help. That's why I'm reaching out, kindly asking for any support you can provide. Your donation, whether big or small, will be a lifeline for those families who have lost everything.
Rest assured, every cent you donate will go directly into those in need - whether it's rebuilding homes, or providing food, clothing, or other essentials. My family who are at the forefront will ensure the money received from you will be used solely on the people affected by this incident.
Your generosity will truly make a world of difference. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your kindness and support. You are incredibly appreciated.
