I have worked hard all my life and spent years raising my two daughters on my own. I was proud to build a stable life for my family and create something solid after a lot of sacrifice. Then Hurricane Helene came through South Georgia and changed everything in an instant. In about 15 minutes, I lost the home that was only a few years away from being paid off, along with vehicles, tools, and so many of the things I had worked my whole life to build. Just a few hours later, I also lost my job site. It felt like everything I had spent a lifetime working for disappeared all at once.

Since then, I have done everything I can to keep going. I went to North Carolina to help where I could, then took work on the road as a traveling commercial supervisor. When that ended, I came to Florida with nowhere else to turn. I ended up sleeping in my truck and doing DoorDash just to eat and keep gas in the tank. I eventually found a tiny RV to rent in someone’s backyard, and I have been working seven days a week, around 12 hours a day, just trying to survive. Even with all that work, I keep falling behind because of repairs, food, gas, laundry, and basic living costs.

I am exhausted and doing my best not to lose the only thing I have left, which is my truck that I am still paying for. This fundraiser would help me protect my transportation, cover basic necessities, and hopefully move into a better place to live so I can finally catch my breath and start getting back on my feet.
