My place caught on fire and burnt to the ground. I lost everything—from clothes, tools, my car, and even my German shepherd, Mando. The fire happened last Friday, and since then, life has been turned upside down. I never imagined I’d be in a situation where I’d lose not just my home, but also my best friend and companion.
Living in a small town makes things even harder. The closest gas station is three miles away, and the nearest hospital is fifteen miles. Without a car, getting anywhere is a challenge, and I’ve only had a room for one day since the fire, which means just one shower. It’s difficult for me to ask for help, whether it’s for rides, a place to sleep, or even food. But right now, I need temporary housing, a hotel room, and basic essentials to get back on my feet.
Losing Mando has left me feeling even more alone, and I miss the comfort and company he brought me every day. I’m reaching out because I need support to rebuild and recover. God bless anyone with a kind heart who is willing to help. I don’t want to put a burden or hardship on anyone or their family—I just want to be able to have a place I can call home again. Your support means the world to me, and I’m grateful for any help you can offer.
