Help Me Rebuild After Caring for My Mother

Donation protected
Hi I am an ex caregiver for my mother who suffered for 10 years with ALS/PLS and multiple surgeries. My mother passed away Christmas Day 2024.
Since then I have been finding it difficult to cover my basic expenses and getting back and forth to work without a car.

In 2018 I began taking care of my mother. She had bilateral hip replacement and never walked again. she came to live with me after her last surgery
She was in rehab to learn to walk again and felt that my older sister would not care for her properly.
I took care of my mother solely by myself. My daughter would help periodically but the bulk of her care was on me.
At first my mother was able to do in home physical therapy but once they realized she was improving the physical therapy ended. I contacted her neurologist and had her admitted into the hospital. My mother could not turn or lift her body, she couldn't walk or stand up and eventually could only use one arm. Her speech was badly slurred and and most times delayed and she could not get the words out.
She could not do anything physical for herself. Her diagnosis in the hospital was ALS/PLS. Amytropic LATERAL SCELOROSIS.
I became her arms, her legs and her voice.
I stopped my life completely to take care of my mother for 6 years. I made her meals, bathe her, laundry, I nursed her 24/7 for 6 straight years. The only time I left her side was when I had doctor appointments or when I went to the grocery store. Otherwise I was there for her every need and want. i cooked three meals a day for my mother. i entertained her with conversation, parties for her because she loved entertaining.
I created a living space for her in my living room. her bed and everything she needed was in the living room of my home.
My mother was my everything. I gave up finishing my education and working to care for my mother.
I would do it again I had to and I would have done it longer than 6 years if I had to.
My mother was a professional woman that took good care of my sister and me. She was a manager at the US Post Office.
We wanted for nothing growing up. She was very supportive most of my life until she couldn't help herself!
She had several unnecessary surgeries prior to her diagnosis of ALS/PLS.
Had she known it was the illness that caused her so much discomfort she would have not had the surgeries.
I sacrificed 6 years of my livelihood to care for my mother as she sacrificed for me and my sister
The day she passed was very heartbreaking.
Since then I gained employment as a furniture sales person, but I'm not earning enough to afford a car and struggling every month to pay my house payment.
I'm behind on all of my bills and I am throwing money away taking Uber to work every day. It's roughly around $50 a day to get to and from work.
And then I have the expense of the house.
it's a lot when my last pay was $199 for two weeks! i have been working since September and have yet to see a liveable wage. $2000 was the most in a month.
I desperately need a car and money to catch up on my bills.
With a car I can seek better employment!
I'm late on my house payment because I had a mild heart attack and I had to miss a few days at work and prior to that I had the norovirus. I can't afford to miss days at work.
i desperately need a lil jump start so that I can seek other earning opportunities.
Now that my mother is gone I need help to get back into life.
I took care of her and just need a little help.
Thank you all in advance for whatever you can do to help me out.
