Dear Friends, Family & Supporters,
Over the past year, I’ve quietly endured the most challenging season of my life. What began as unexplained pain in late October turned out to be a severe medical crisis — my uterus was filled with cysts, which rapidly spread and led to emergency surgeries, a complete hysterectomy, and eventually, aggressive chemotherapy after a tumor was discovered in my lung.
The physical toll was devastating — hair loss, weight fluctuations, internal bleeding, painful mouth sores, hospital visits, and multiple ER trips. But perhaps the hardest part was having to temporarily give up custody of my son in March, because I was simply too ill to care for him.
Throughout this time, I had no health insurance. From November to May, I paid for testing, treatments, surgeries, and chemotherapy out of pocket. I was also unable to work for 7 months, which completely wiped out my savings. I’ve fought hard to survive — and as of last month, my MRI came back clear. The chemo has stopped, and I’m finally on the road to healing.
But now, I’m facing the aftermath:
- $2,000 still owed on my car (nearly repossessed)
- $3,000 in hospital debt
- Ongoing costs for recovery and infusion therapy
- Basic living expenses while trying to get back on my feet
My biggest hope is to rebuild my life and eventually bring my son back home. But I can’t do this alone.
If you’re able, please consider donating. Every dollar helps me move forward — toward stability, health, and the chance to reunite with my son.
With deep gratitude,
Jenn Diamond
