Hi, my name is Samantha. I never thought I’d be in the position of asking for help like this, but my life has been turned upside down in ways I never could have imagined.

This year, I lost my home and all of my belongings to Hurricane Helene. At the same time, I was escaping a physically abusive relationship, leaving me with nothing but the clothes I could carry. Since then, I’ve been homeless and working hard just to survive each day.

I am currently in treatment for depression, focusing on my healing so that I can move forward with a stronger foundation. When I leave treatment, my biggest goals are to have safe housing and reliable transportation so I can rebuild my life, find steady work, and regain stability.

I am asking for help to cover:

• Housing costs (first month’s rent, deposit, and basic furnishings)

• Transportation (a used car or reliable means to get to work and appointments)
