Hello everyone,

My name is Kayla, and I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but I am reaching out for help for my daughter, Lela, and me during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives.

Over the last few years, I have experienced an incredible amount of loss, heartbreak, and hardship. While I was pregnant with my daughter, I lost my father. I was still grieving that loss when I became a new mother and began struggling with postpartum depression. I did my best to keep pushing forward, focusing on my daughter and trying to build a life for us.

During this time, I was also dealing with emotional, financial, and physical abuse in my relationship. I often felt controlled, isolated, and without the resources to leave. As if that wasn’t enough, I later suffered the devastating loss of a pregnancy at five months. While trying to heal from that loss, I discovered that my partner had been unfaithful throughout much of our relationship and is expecting a child with someone else.

Today, my focus is on protecting my peace, rebuilding my life, and creating a safe and stable environment for my daughter.

I am currently employed and working hard to provide for Lela, but I am now facing the reality of having to move by the end of this month or the first week of July. With such little time to prepare, I am struggling to come up with the funds needed for a security deposit, rent, moving expenses, and basic necessities for our new home.

My goal is to raise $5,000, but truly, any amount will help us move closer to safety and stability.

The funds will be used for:

* Security deposit and first month’s rent

* Moving expenses

* Household necessities and furniture

* Childcare and essentials for Lela

* Emergency expenses during our transition

Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I’ve spent so much time trying to survive and hold everything together, but I know that sometimes strength means allowing others to help when you need it most.

Lela is my reason for fighting through every difficult day. She deserves a home filled with love, stability, and peace, and I am determined to give that to her.
