Help Me Rebound

Hello Everyone and welcome to my gofundme page.

My name is Léon Dominion, I'm a Painter and Decorator, living in Garston in Watford. To be honest it did not cross my mind to do something like this but some friends at rugby suggested I give it a try as the strength of "The Community" can be a powerful thing, so thanks in advance!....

My Story:

This saturday at around 2am my beloved little VW Caddy who we called Skye was broken into. All my trusted power tools and a host of hand tools (that I'll never be able to replace) were stolen. All in around £4K worth of tools ranging from drills to dustsheets. I was lucky because a lot of my good brushes and rollers were inside for cleaning.

Worse still, the thieves came back and set Skye ablaze, YES, ON FIRE...! The fire got so hot that the two vehicles on either side were affect badly to, as in both will be written off. We had police in attendance and the fire department. It took the fire department around 50 minutes to put the fire out.

Now Skye was not worth a lot, however she meant a lot to Me, My Family and Customers. Also, we have fully comp insurance for her so hopefully they pay out on that.

It's the tools that most concern me, sadly they were not insured.

The Result:

Liternally my business went up in smoke, so limiting my ability to provide for my family. Tools to do the job taken, I mean who does that? And of course, "just getting around", things like the school run will be interesting. At least we'll get fit!

I believe all things happen for a reason, for this the reason is yet unknown. All I want to be able to do, is what I love, an honest days graft Painting and Decorating and Improving People's Homes. Perhaps The COMMUNITY can help me bounce back from this chapter.

The Target:

I have set the initial target at £4K, however any kind donations will be greatly appreciated. These funds will be used to purchase tools and consumable supplies to get me back on site ASAP. Please if you think this is worthy, forward to family and friends. Anything achieved above £4k will be donated to the Hertfordshire Fire Department.
