Howdy everyone! My name is Heather Abadie, and I’m a pole vaulter chasing a dream. I competed for Texas A&M University, and now I’m training to compete at the next level — with the goal of representing Team Canada on some of the biggest stages in the sport.
Pole vaulting has always been more than a sport to me. It’s where I learned resilience, faith, and what it means to keep showing up — even when the bar keeps rising. But competing at an elite level comes with one big challenge: equipment costs.
Pole vault poles are incredibly specialized and expensive. Each one costs anywhere from $600 to $1,000, and I need several poles of different lengths and stiffness levels to train and compete safely. Unlike team-issued gear, these poles are individually sized for each athlete and can’t be borrowed or easily replaced.
I’m currently training and working hard to cover expenses, but the cost of purchasing a full series of poles is more than I can manage on my own right now. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
Your support will go directly toward purchasing the poles I need to:
• Train safely and consistently
• Compete in upcoming meets
• Continue pursuing my goal of qualifying for major championships and beyond
Every donation — no matter the size — brings me one step closer to clearing the next bar. If you can’t donate, sharing this page means just as much.
Thank you for believing in me and helping me keep my dream alive.
Together, we can reach new heights. ❤️
