Help me reach my son, Kain after brutal attack
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Claire, and I’m a mother facing every parent’s worst nightmare.
My 29-year-old son, Kain Rutherford, was brutally attacked and left for dead in Wheatland, Wyoming. He was discovered in critical condition and had to be airlifted to Greeley Hospital in Colorado, where he remains in intensive care.
Kain has sustained extensive injuries, including a traumatic brain injury and a broken eye socket. He is currently sedated and under constant medical care. His condition is very serious, and the full extent of the long-term effects is still unknown.
I live in the UK, and I am desperate to travel to the United States to be by his side. The emotional pain of being so far away while he fights for his life is unbearable.
I am fundraising to help cover:
Emergency international travel from the UK to Colorado
Accommodation while I support Kain during his recovery
Out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance
Any legal or practical support needed due to the nature of the attack
The perpetrator has been caught and is in police custody. But right now, my focus is entirely on Kain's survival and recovery. He needs someone there to speak for him, comfort him, and help him navigate the long road ahead.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will bring me closer to my son and help ensure he gets the care he deserves. Please consider sharing this campaign, even if you’re unable to donate yourself.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for your kindness and support.
