Help me reach my goal to get Doug life changing back surgery

Thank you for taking a moment to read this. I'm asking for any generosity you may be able to spare in helping me reduce the financial burden that comes along with back surgery. Also, I understand that some may only have best wishes to give right now, so all I can ask is that you pass this along to friends and family that may wish to help.

For those who don't know me, my name is Doug Vaughan. I have a beautiful wife and I am the father to 3 children and a dog. I have been a police officer for nearly 15 years and used to live a very active lifestyle. Eight years ago I started having troubles with my back. First, a herniated disc, and it has been down hill ever since. I have not been able to participate in events with my children, stopped playing sports I love and struggle everyday to get out of bed. A couple of years ago I had a second herniated disc and learned that I have degenerative disc disease, loss of disc height, bulged and dehydrated discs. Literally my lumbar discs have failed me. My daily activities involve fishing for my pant leg with a foot and finding a way to get my socks on. I can't sit for any period of time and have resorted to standing everywhere to get away from the pain. I don't want to bore you with my problems but please know they affect and limit my entire life.

I have been approved by the Dr's at ON Z in germany to have 3 discs replaced. My research and the experiences from past patients have me understanding that this will be life changing for me. The operation and recovery however will cost me just under $80,000 and I will be in Germany for 2 weeks.

I will be looking at reimbursements from taxes, financial lending and any other options to lessen this enormous payment. All I ask of you, is give if you can and pass my story on. Either will help me in reaching my goal.
