"Congratulations!" read the email from the prestigious educational institute. My heart sang and sank at the same time. Sang, because I have been looking forward to joining their year-long program since I first attended a webinar two years ago. Sank, because the funding is just a little bit out of reach. If I raise more than I ask for, I'll plan an in person research trip to Pennsylvania but for now, the fee is for a year of professional development on Zoom.
