I am helping my friend raise money for her son who has a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to a Barcelona Academy Soccer World Cup in Spain. I am a soccer lover and can tell you that Barcelona is one of the best soccer academies in the world. Jho-ir (Rapha's mom) has been working remotely from Philippines with me over the last two years. We all know that Philippine pesos don't go as far as US dollars in the world and this trip is simply not affordable for them. Therefore, I am trying to help Jho-ir and her son Rapha follow his dream. Hi everyone, my name is Rapha, and I’m 13 years old.

I have been in love with soccer since I began training at the age of seven and have continually dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player, just like my favorites, Messi and Ronaldo. Every day, I work hard to become better for my team and for everyone who believes in me. I often earn the Best Goalkeeper award in many of our tournaments, and in some, I also bring home the MVP medal.

This year, something amazing happened! Barcelona Academy Manila traveled to Davao and held a three-day boot camp. After the fun-filled yet challenging training sessions, the Barça coaches and trainers informed my parents that I was selected to play in the Barcelona Academy World Cup in March 2026.

It is one of the largest youth tournaments in the world, and only a select few children get the chance to participate. When they told me the news, I felt elated and excited because I had been chosen to play in a world-class tournament!

However, I also found out that I need to cover all my expenses. This includes:

Going to Barcelona to join the World Cup is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I want to make my country proud and show that Filipino kids can shine on the world stage too.
