I am a parent living in Alaska, and last night my youngest child, who lives in North Carolina, was severely burned in a fire that started in her bedroom. She was flown to the burn unit in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and is now receiving critical care. As a parent, it’s heartbreaking to be so far away when your child needs you most. I am doing everything I can to get to her side, but the distance and the suddenness of this emergency have made things very difficult.

I am currently short on funds and need help covering the costs of travel, food, and lodging so I can be with my child during her recovery. The expenses of flying from Alaska to North Carolina, finding a place to stay near the hospital, and making sure I have enough to eat while I’m there are more than I can manage on my own right now. Being present for my child is my top priority, and your support would make a huge difference in helping me get there and back home safely.
