I started flight school about two years ago, beginning with zero experience and a big dream of becoming a pilot. Through dedication and hard work, I’ve earned my commercial pilot’s license—a milestone I’m incredibly proud of. But as many in the aviation community know, the journey doesn’t end there. To qualify for my ATP (airline transport pilot) and pursue a career with the airlines, I need to reach 1500 flight hours.

There are many ways to build those hours, but I’ve chosen to take a less-traveled path and work independently. This route gives me flexibility and control, but it also comes with a significant financial burden. The current job market is saturated, with many pilots already at or above the 1500-hour mark waiting for airline opportunities. As a result, low-time pilot jobs that would normally help me build hours are hard to come by. While there are other aviation careers available at 500, 750, and 1000 hours, those positions are currently out of reach due to the market.

That’s why I’m reaching out for support. I have the time, the drive, and the determination to reach my goal—I just need some help covering the costs of flight hours.
