My name is Henry Ohanga aka Octopizzo, an award-winning international Hip Hop artist and Social Impact Strategist from Nairobi, Kenya. My greatest aim and focus within my work is to make a sustainable and beneficial impact to my community and Kenyan society as a whole. I am delighted to have been accepted by Harvard to enrol on their online 'Leading Change' course, however, I only have a few days to raise the tuition fees to be able accept my place and I need your help to do so.

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in the 'Executive Program for Social Impact Strategy' in 2018, I am now working to gain specific skills in Leadership & Action and have been successfully awarded a place at Harvard to enrol in their online 'Leadership, Action & Organisation: Leading Change'  course. 

I want to participate in this course to learn and develop relevant skills and attitudes to be as an impactful leader I can be within my community, and create supportive and effective frameworks that explore and implement important solutions to the social challenges present in Kenya today. Continuing the work I do with refugees, disadvantaged youth as well as kick starting the first national initiative addressing mental health issues. 

I want to create powerful & action-focused experiences, rooted in real organizational issues and challenges, that prepare mid-level community leaders like myself to step more boldly into their leadership roles with new perspectives, skills and confidence. Through my own Octopizzo Foundation , I will both implement my own learnings as well as pass these on to our many associates and mentees to permit a widespread effect and benefit of my own learnings at Harvard. 

I believe the skills I learn through this course will greatly assist me in continuing my work in Kenya to a more impactful and considered degree, making a real difference in addressing the social challenges we face as young Kenyans today. As a former Youth Ambassador for UNHCR & the British Council and  collaborator with the Obama Foundation as well as Founder & Creative Director of my own foundation, I am in a strong position to lead the change that is needed for Kenyan Youth, from the ground up. I want to use my studies at Harvard to grow my leadership abilities and be as an effective change maker as I can be.
