I’m Ebonee Nock. On Thursday November 29th I was attacked by a complete stranger and stabbed over 15 times, 17 of which having to get stitches. I was immediately taken to the ICU trauma unit where I had to get a blood transfusion and emergency surgery because of how much blood I had lost and how serious my condition was. I was cut in my face, chest, arm, hand, neck, and head. Upon waking up in the hospital, my two main concerns were when I would be able to see my son and (since I’m a hard worker and usually don’t ask anyone for anything) when I would be able to return to work. Unfortunately, until next week I won’t know if I’m unable to see my son for another week or two.  However, they did tell me I would be out of work for a month or two and if I need the surgery on my hand they think I need they will add on an additional month. I am a single mother who has rent, a car payment, medical bills, etc. And I would still like to see my son have a great Christmas. I have talked with several different organizations to see if they could help me and have been turned down by each because I am technically still employed just out of work for the moment. If anyone could spare anything to help me out I would greatly appreciate it and if not I would appreciate it if you could share my story. Thank you guys so much!
