My name is Luke McCormack. I am a 5th year student currently attending St.Paul's College Raheny. 

This summer myself and seven of my classmates will have the privilege of traveling to Ethiopia to teach English in the small town of Ambo.


There is a diverse set of languages spoken throughout the country however, the primary language taught in schools and tested in final examinations is English. As you can imagine, having to complete your final examinations in your second language can be difficult for these students. Therefore some wish to improve their English skills during the summer. With the aid of the Vincentian Lay Missionaries,  an organisation focused on education based community projects in Africa, our team of eight students will be able to provide a helpful learning experience to the students of Ambo. 


Our college has been sending students to Ambo every summer for the past six years and each year we have encountered great success and come across amazing individuals.



We are actively organising fundraising events to reach our target and would greatly appreciate any donations to aid us in our efforts.
