Help me raise money now for Medical Aid For Palestinians.

My name is Rebecca, I wish this wasn’t round two, that this outright genocide wasn’t still in full throttle a year later… but here we are… I have no ligaments in place in my left ankle and am due for surgery on the 28th of August, so I’m going to do what I can while I can, so for the second time on the 10th of August I shall be running a half marathon in Richmond park for medical aid for Palestinians. At the heart of it, being bystanders to a harrowing event makes us question who we are, will we just watch or will we help? I have to believe that we are better people than to sit at home and watch genocide on telly every night and do nothing. I truly believe that if we don't actively say no to something than we are passively saying yes. And this is my quiet little way to say no...

No I will not passively watch the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Gaza; indiscriminate bombings, brutal ground incursions and the intentional starvation of a civilian population, half of whom are children, and do and say nothing.

I watched a little girl be held down by her father, while she had her leg amputated with no anaesthetic, I have to say No to that, no to her pain and harrowing trauma and no to the quiet desperation of a helpless father watching his tiny daughter endure such a horror, and do what I can to help. I might not be able to change the whole picture, but maybe I could have changed things for that little girl and her dad and funded appropriate pain relief and equipment for her. But, there will certainly be more, and let's help them.
