Hello all my name is Danyshia Arnold. In March of 2019 I was brought into an amazing family of 4 that showed me nothing but love and support and was the family I’ve always wanted. They treated me as if I had always been there daughter from the very beginning. Soon after we took many family trips; My first time to Disneyland, Rv glamping in San Diego by the beach, last minute Vegas runs, and even the late night Chick Fil A runs. To me all these moments were special. I knew I had a family and I always enjoyed every moment with them. My mom and my dad wanted me to know no matter I was their oldest baby. This family of 4 became a family of 6 which left us with; my mom, my dad, myself (23), my little brother (11) my little sister (5) and my son (3). Just recently in March of 2021, my family had been facing some unforeseen health problems that had been happening with my dad. From vertigo, prostate problems, pancreas problems etc. Which caused many trips to urgent care, emergency rooms, lots of doctors appointments, and even virtual appointments due to Covid. No one understood what was going on with my dad or why it was happening to him but it was very scary for all of us. Especially for my dad. We didn’t know what to expect only thing we wanted was for him to be better and back to the dad we always knew. He couldn’t work, he couldn’t really go out with us as a family anymore, he just wasn’t our regular dad that we knew and love very much.  My dad was never sick, he is the man of the house, the provider for all of us. But lately somethings just haven’t been the same. About three months ago my dad had to get a simple surgery. Which we all thought it was simple. Until about three weeks later when he was told he had to get another surgery because there is a high chance that he may have cancer. After running test and the doctors got the answer that they were looking for. My dad was diagnosed with stage 3 Colon Cancer and they told my dad  he had to do another surgery right along with chemotherapy. As a family none of us knew how to take this information especially my mom and my dad! It was a huge shock to all of us and at this point we were all terrified! As we are today taking it day by day, not sure what to expect at this point but we know we must take care of my dad the best that we can! So I have taken it into my own hands to decide to start a go fund me to help my parents during this difficult time! As my dad is not able to work right now, my mom and myself are still trying to work as much as we can although it is not easy due to having to care for my siblings and my son also! This Go Fund Me is something from the kindness of my heart to thank them for everything they have done for me and now I want to do some thing that they will greatly appreciate to help my family! As I am not asking for too much but for others to support me and my family with anything they could possibly donate! There are a lot of families in the world that are struggling with similar situations like my family, which I completely understand if I could support every family and donate what I could I would! I have never been the type to ask for help, but with times like this we could definitely use it! Thank you for your time and please continue to pray for our family!
