I lost everything ten years ago when my whole life was taken to the tip after I left a relationship and took my children to safety. We had a £5 note and declared
ourselves homeless. I have never asked for anything from my ex and I didn’t ask for any finances from the house because I didn’t want to turn her three children’s lives upside down by forcing a sale, knowing that my two would be going there for contact too. It was bad enough that I had torn a family apart without leaving five children needing another new home. Now the children are all older and I have just found out the house has been sold. I need to raise funds to help me see a solicitor who might be able to help me recover some of the money I am possibly entitled too. I have done a lot of inquiring and it seems I will have to pay £324 to sit down with a solicitor to even begin to see whether this is worth fighting for…. Or whether I just need to keep on walking away.
I would just like the chance to see if I am entitled to anything, which might help me with a deposit to buy myself and my two our own little home together. If I’m told that there is no hope, then I know it’s time to walk away. Any extra that’s raised will go straight into what is likely to be a very expensive legal battle. So thank you from the bottom
of my heart for helping me.
