Help me raise funds for Friends of Meath School

This Windsor Half Marathon on Sunday 29th September means the world to me, and the charity I have chosen is FRIENDS OF MEATH SCHOOL. This wonderful school has helped our 9 year old daughter, Marnie in so many ways.

In 2023, Marnie had a dual diagnosis of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) associated with Autism and sadly she could no longer access a mainstream curriculum. Finding the right school where she would thrive, begin to learn and communicate at a greater depth was our quest. Having done much research we found a wonderful school called The Meath. The Meath school literally ‘scooped’ Marnie into their care and she settled within a week. Humbling, nurturing and so wonderfully inclusive, Marnie has now found her ‘tribe’ and is finally able to access her learning.

With the integrated therapies and holistic teaching, together with the fantastic team of teachers and support staff, Marnie is not only happier but she has also made so much progress; it truly is a magical place.

Thank you to everyone at The Meath for helping all the children (past and present) - and for helping their families too. I hope my run can generate funds to assist the school in giving The Meath children continued incredible educational experiences and resources. This run is from Marnie and me - to you.
