Help me put James Cruz to rest with dignity.

Hi, my name is Rich. I am starting this fund to help put a brother, James Cruz, to rest with dignity. Anything helps! Please Share. After a life of struggle James was taken from us. Because of the ongoing criminal investigation I can’t say too much. Just that, he walked into something he did not see coming, and, no one deserves what he got.

I posted an old an old picture of him because of that situation. It is my hope too, that seeing him this way will help us all see the person he was inside. The person we remember. The man we knew him to be deep down. We could still see the hope and potential.

This is for the brother, son, nephew, cousin, and father who will be missed dearly. There will forever be a hole in our lives where he once stood. Now, he rests his weary soul on that special place in our hearts.

Let me say, he was one whose earliest days put him at odds with himself. Deep inside a storm raged. This forced him on a cycle of small successes, inevitable self destruction, and back again.

It’s true he had struggles like us all, but he always had a smile for anyone he met. A fast talking character who loved people and made a friend where ever he went. He was a man who always seemed at ease in anyone’s company and could talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime.

My wife and I, and others worked to help him through his troubles and get back on his feet. Sadly, we have exhausted our reserves which brings us here. James was tired and longed for normalcy. My wife was working his case. She herself racked with physical pain did the best she could. With agencies that are overwhelmed, the paperwork that moved too slowly, and time ran out.
