Hi everyone!

As many of you know, theatre has been more than just a passion for me — it’s been a lifeline. It’s provided me with a sense of purpose, a creative outlet, and a community during some of the most difficult times in my life.

I recently graduated with my Associate of Arts for Transfer (AA-T) in Theatre, and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. However, the road hasn’t been easy. In the middle of my college journey, I faced the sudden and very unexpected loss of my father. Around the same time, my roommate unexpectedly moved out, leaving me to cover the full cost of rent on my own. These life-altering events led to significant financial strain and put me in debt.

Over the past year, I’ve been working two jobs just to stay afloat — covering rent, groceries, car payments, and other daily expenses. Despite my efforts, I’m still living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to regain stability.

I’ve always hesitated to ask for help, but in order to continue my education and pursue my dream of teaching theatre, I need to clear this financial hurdle. Before I can apply to a CSU or UC to complete my bachelor’s degree, I must first pay off the debt I’ve accumulated.
