Hi, my name is Alexandra (Lexy), and I’m an aspiring animator and visual artist from Canada.

Creating has always been the way I understand the world. From a young age, drawing, storytelling, music, and animation became my safe place, a way to process emotions, experiences, and dreams that I didn’t always have the words for. Over the years, that passion turned into something more serious. I pursued formal training in 2D animation, built a portfolio, worked on short films, and slowly realized that this isn’t just something I love, it’s what I’m meant to do.

I’ve recently been accepted into the 3D Animation & Visual Effects program at Vancouver Film School, one of the most intensive and respected programs in the industry. This opportunity means everything to me. It’s a chance to deepen my skills, expand my creative voice, and work toward a career in animation and film, creating stories that resonate with people the way stories once helped me.

The reality is that pursuing creative education is incredibly expensive. Tuition alone is nearly $40,000, not including living costs. I’m working, applying for scholarships, and doing everything I can to make this dream possible, but I can’t do it entirely on my own.

This fundraiser isn’t about shortcuts or handouts. It’s about support. Every contribution goes directly toward my education and gives me the chance to fully commit to this next chapter without being forced to abandon it due to finances.
