Help Gabe provide football boots to children in Swansea
Gabriel Sillman’s (baby Suki) Fundraising Mission for The Boot Room
Six-year-old Gabriel Sillman, a football-obsessed young star, is embarking on a mission to raise money for The Boot Room, a Swansea-based initiative that provides football boots and sports clothing for children who need them.
The Boot Room’s Story
The Boot Room, founded by Carl Bradley and supported by Swansea City Football Club, ensures that young players in the community aren’t held back from enjoying football due to financial barriers. Through donations, local businesses and the club act as collection points for second-hand boots and gear, enabling children to stay in the game they love.
Gabriel Sillman’s Story
Football runs through Gabriel’s veins. From his grandpa Suki to his dad Michael and brothers, football has been a family passion. Gabriel is a tireless 6-year-old who trains in the garden no matter the weather 7 days a week, hones his skills by watching tutorials, and learns everything he can about his favorite players. Football isn’t just a sport for Gabriel; it’s a way of life.
But Gabriel knows not every child has the opportunity to enjoy football like he does. That’s why he’s decided to step up and make a difference.
Gabriel’s Big Challenge
To help raise funds for The Boot Room, Gabriel is taking on a tough challenge: giving up football for three whole weeks! This means:
• No talking about football.
• No watching tutorials online.
• No practicing skills in the garden.
• No football in the house.
*Disclaimer* Gabriel will still attend football practice for his club Sandfields AFC on a Wednesday and matches on a Sunday.
It’s a massive sacrifice for someone whose life revolves around the sport, but Gabriel is determined to help ensure that every child in Swansea can play football.
Support Gabriel in his challenge and help him give back to the community by donating to The Boot Room today!
