UPDATE 2:
Hi again, Nena has been diagnosed with Cancer lymphoma stage 3 and given only 1 month left of life if no treatment was done, I decided to fight for her as she is still young and can receive chemotherapy in a positive way and live longer, however her cancer treatment is $10,500 and it’s still hard on me. She is in week 2 on chemotherapy and we have 18 more weeks left to go.

Hi, my name is Tabatha and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. My best friend, Nena, a sweet 4-year-old golden retriever, was just diagnosed with high-grade lymphoma a fast spreading and aggressive cancer.
After several vet visits, blood work, and a fine needle aspirate, and other “this could be what she has” diagnosis before we actually figured out what she has we got the devastating news that cancer was found in both her mammary gland and popliteal lymph nodes. The vet said this form of cancer (lymphosarcoma) is likely already spreading in her body, and she needs to see an oncologist urgently. She’s already been referred to a cancer specialist at Blue Pearl and also I am hoping for cancellations so Nena can get a spot at the U of M for further treatment and evaluation.
Nena means the world to me. She’s more than a pet — she’s my emotional support, my adventure buddy, and my comfort through life’s hardest moments.
I’ve already spent so much just to get us this far on diagnostics, appointments, and medications. Now I’m humbly asking for help to cover the upcoming oncology visits, treatment options, medications, or even chemo if it’s possible.
Every dollar will go directly toward Nena’s vet bills and care.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this means the world to us too.
Thank you for supporting us during this heartbreaking and uncertain time. I’m holding onto hope and doing everything I can to give Nena a fighting chance and more days dreaming of squirrels and stealing my socks.
With love,
Tabatha & Nena
