Help me produce my new song 'A Cup Of Tea'
Donation protected
Hi I'm Rachel and I am a singer/songwriter, author, yoga teacher and I've started this Gofundme campaign to raise money to produce a song I wrote back in 2011.
This song was written after the breakdown of my marriage, I had just met my now life partner John, and I felt the poignancy of tentative new beginnings. It's a fragile, tender emotional song and speaks to anyone whose gone through breakdowns and the longing to move through difficulty with grace, the possibility of recovery and beginning anew.
I was lucky enough to record the vocals for this song with my brother Paul Zinman a producer and recording engineer, in NYC at Sear Sound. We had plans to complete the song, but life got in the way.
It is now 13 years later and the song feels even more relevant for the times we find ourselves in. We are all facing so many changes, so much heart ache and the hope that something good can come from all this challenge and change is needed more than ever. I truly believe that music is a balm. I feel called to share this song with the world at this time.
Some of you might know me from my band the Subway Bhaktis Together with our Grammy award winning producer Kamal Engels we produced three CD's which are playlist staples on itunes and Spotify.
I brought my new song to Kamal and through everyones generous support the song is now LIVE and gaining followers on all streaming platforms.
In the past I've had the funds to produce and market my own music, but times have changed. That's why I am reaching out to the wider community to help me with the production of this song.
The funds have already been used to pay Kamal for studio time to hire session musicians and for some of the promotion of the song through our new music distributor DITTO . Now I need more funds for a campaign with Libertymusicpr to leverage Native Spotify Ads. Having this next 4 week AD campaign will secure not only the songs sustainability but also help lift the Subway Bhaktis brand as a whole. Reaching more and more fans and creating new ones.
If you would like to support this project I would be so grateful you can see the music video for the song below.
I am so grateful for your love and support!
with deep gratitude, Rachel
