Since losing my mom, life has become increasingly difficult for my family. My father is a senior and lost his job, and despite my efforts, I haven’t been able to get him rehired. I’ve been working full-time and doing everything I can to keep us afloat, but after falling behind during a long period of reduced hours at my previous job, the rent debt kept piling up faster than I could catch up.

We are now facing eviction. I was recently given a 3-day notice and need to pay $5,330 in back rent by May 14th to prevent the eviction process from moving forward.

My father, our seven cats, and I have nowhere else to go in San Diego. If we lose our housing, we may be forced to relocate across the border to Tijuana, which would seriously impact my ability to keep working and safely care for our pets during such a major transition.

I never imagined I would be asking for help like this publicly, but I’ve run out of options. Any donation, share, or kind word truly means more than I can express and helps bring us one step closer to staying housed as I continue to try to stabilize our situation.
