Help Me Preserve My Future

Today is my 30th Birthday and I am both excited and scared for what lies ahead. This past spring I was experiencing pain in my hip and after seeing multiple doctors I was told to have an ultrasound of my abdomen. At this time a tennis ball size mass was discovered on my right ovary. I quickly had surgery to remove both the mass and unfortunately my right ovary/ Fallopian tube. After a tense waiting period for the biopsy results, my worst fears became a reality. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Bordline Ovarian Cancer. This means it had metastasized to other parts of my body including my left ovary. I was directed to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where I am getting amazing care. Unfortunately it is highly likely I will have to have my left ovary removed, jeopardizing my chances to have my own biological children. That's where I desperately need your help. The next step in my care would be to preserve my eggs, which for anybody who has been through this knows is incredibly expensive. I am covered by insurance but will have to pay for 20% of the procedure out of pocket.
My parents and family have been amazingly supportive of everything that has happened and I cannot thank them enough. Through the darkness I am trying to stay positive and continuing to live my life. Last week I started my Master's program to be able to teach High School History.
All my life the one thing I was sure about was that someday I was going to be a mom and now in a blink of an eye that dream could be taken from me. I am usually a private person and do not like to burden people but today I am asking for your help! I know $4000 seems like a lot of money, and it is, but anything you could donate would be deeply appreciated and help me get closer to my dream of having kids one day.
I believe everything happens for a reason and I'm going to fight this the best way I know how, with a smile on my face and surrounded by love.
