Over the past month, my life has changed in ways I never could have imagined. On March 1st, I experienced my first seizures and was rushed to the hospital. Just days later, on March 9th, I underwent a right frontal craniotomy. After spending 8 days in inpatient rehabilitation working to regain my strength, I received the diagnosis on April 10th: stage 3 glioma brain cancer.

I am now preparing for the next phase of this fight, which includes both chemotherapy and radiation. While these treatments are critical, they come with lasting impacts—especially at 26 years old. Chemotherapy will likely affect my ability to have children in the future, so I am hoping to preserve that choice by undergoing egg freezing before treatment begins.
