I am a first-generation law student who grew up in a small town, moving frequently and attending three different high schools due to family circumstances. Despite these challenges, I was fortunate to earn a full-ride scholarship to college based on my academic achievements, and I now attend law school in Chicago. My journey has been shaped by resilience and determination, and I am proud to be nearing the completion of my law school education.

Now, I am facing the final hurdle: preparing for the bar exam so I can be admitted to practice law. Bar preparation is a full-time commitment, and those who have gone before me strongly advise against working full time during this period. While I am seeking part-time work, I am reaching out for support to help cover my rent and basic living expenses. This will allow me to focus on my studies and give the bar exam my best effort, without the added stress of financial insecurity.
