Help Me Perform In Vancouver!!!!

Hi, my name is Alexander Gonsalves. My pronouns are he/they and I'm an actor, vocalist and dancer. Ever since I was a little kid, I've dreamed of performing professionally. It's all I've wanted to do, and I've poured my entire life into the theatre. Throughout high school, I maintained honour roll status and focused all of my electives on the arts. I got 90's in every one of those classes. I devoted my spare time to community theatre, where I performed in 15 shows alone in the past five years - up to four at a time. I've worked extremely hard to get where I am, and after I was accepted into st. Clair college for musical theatre performance I was cast in my first professional production ever: Cats Young Actors Edition. Cats is my favourite musical of all time, and it's a dream show of mine. I've practically memorized the entire soundtrack front to back, and I own a cosplay of Mister Mistoffelees that I put together. (Shown in the photo.) I would give anything to do this show, and being cast in it was a dream come true. I cried for hours when I found out.

 

Now, the issue. I am currently working in a minor acting job I got after I got the role in Cats, and while that's paying for my plane tickets there and back, it's not nearly enough for living expenses. The production I was cast in takes place in Vancouver, and I reside about an hour from Toronto. This means that I'd need to find a place to live there and pay for food, utilities, etc. I've exhausted every possibility, I've looked at low-income housing, rooms for rent, and beds for rent, but there's nothing that I can afford. It's come to the point where I might have to work without a roof over my head if I don't find a solution. So, with no other options, I am asking for your help again to make my dreams come true. I find myself incredibly frustrated that I fall short because of my and my family's income every time I seem to succeed. I wish I could find a way without asking for help, but I can't. I'm willing to pay people back in any way I can; if you want covers of songs or songs written about you, I'll happily do it. I'm just stuck right now.

 

The $3000 isn't a mandatory thing. It's just a number. Anything helps; anything will get me closer to renting a room, which seems my cheapest option. If you can't donate, sharing this would help too!! I'm beyond desperate; I want to perform. That's all I've ever wanted to do.
